A Producer Seeks Script About Homelessness

Minimal Budget.

Should be powerfull and full of hope but does not have to have a happy ending.

Alcoholism, mental illness and sleeping rough is such a happy theme...

Befriended a paranoid-dillusional homeless man who'd been on the streets for 17 years. He was on a first name basis w/god. I don't think I could write a happy, uplifting story about this real life [sign in to see URL] like Down And Out In Beverly Hills.

My relationship with this particular homeless man inspired me to write Lean Times, Baby Soup and Dead Man's Money - All can be read here: [sign in to see URL]

I think this script will fit your development slate and is character driven.

“Bidenville” is about an arrogant, womanizing, wealthy man who owns a construction company. He is sent to a rescue mission as punishment for multiple speeding tickets and after discovering how bad of shape it is in, decides to call out his guys to make some renovations. Feeling fulfilled for the first time ever, he goes back for more repairs until it becomes his obsession while neglecting his own company. He learns he is not well liked in the drug laden area and will have to go to war to protect the mission and its inhabitants.

Re: A Producer Seeks Script About Homelessness

An ageing, poverty stricken ex boxer falls for a wealthy Upper East side woman fleeing an abusive marriage.

That's the logline to my 97 page drama entitled LOVE ON THE BOWERY.

Here's some Black List coverage of the script: "On the whole, the dialogue is exceptional. From Frankie's one sided - but nonetheless engaging conversations with his dog Rusty, to the delightful and buoyant rapport between the old timers, to Frankie and Grace's spirited courtship, the exchanges are witty, warm, and easy to read. For the most part the characters are pretty well developed, none more so than Frankie. As our protagonist, he's likable without being saccharine, and sassy without coming off to caustic. It's easy to see why Grace falls for him, as the reader does too. The writer does a wonderful job imbuing the story with heart and humor. The recurring flop house bunk scenes are fantastic and bring levity to the plot, while Frankie's confessional is brilliantly scripted and hilarious".

Would be happy to email a .PDF copy should it peek your interest. Kind regards. Craig Richards.

VOX

In post-Katrina New Orleans, a young couple finds shelter in a punk house run by a charismatic cult leader.

Development includes a set of original songs (demos recorded), and is intended as a rock musical for folks who usually don't like musicals.

Hello,

I have a drama script “A DAY WITH THE HOMELESS” which I would like to send your way.

Title: A Day With The Homeless
Logline: A wealthy young woman who has a superficial yet miserable life meets a homeless woman and her friends in the streets of New York, gets in to crazy adventure and learns something significant that has been missing in her life.

This story has a dynamic characters, universal theme and has a bitter sweet and inspirational ending which would appeal to very wide audience. Please let me know if you would like to read the script and I will send a copy to you immediately.

Best regards,

Greetings,

I have an award-winning short (30 pg):

When a man is forced to discard his “lucky” tie, his fate changes course, until through a stroke of luck, the tie returns.

Intended to reveal that anyone's luck can change on a dime and no one is immune from the "Forces."
