Re: Seeking Screenplays In Which The Protagonist Is A Writer

Hi. Please find two loglines pasted below. Both scripts are about writers.

I'm also pasting a short resume below.

Thanks.

(Dramedy) “The Life and Times of Lesbian, Alien, Opera Singers,” A billion dollar budget, every superstar in town, the worst script ever written, and a drunken screenwriter who refuses to write anything but technical manuals. Yup… par for the Hollywood course.

(Drama, Low Budget) “Face Time,” A beautiful reporter becomes fascinated by a brilliant but grotesquely disfigured man who may have won the biggest lottery in history.

I have a film called The Snowing Kingdom which at this time is not complete yet, but it is in progress.

After calling a wrong number the female voice on the other line helps a struggling author develop a fantasy story which shows how a man travels to another realm with the leader and goddess of the Snowing Kingdom and helps her take down the enemy who threatens the kingdom.

Are their really friends and family that would oppose someone entering a screenwriting contest?

I have a clean family script written for all audiences and could be shot on a budget.

“The Resurrection of Fantasyland” is about a failed writer from New York who goes back to his Midwest roots and finds his tiny town in dire straits and in jeopardy of closing the school. After moving in one of his father’s rent houses, he decides to set up a fantasy world (fake cave, sand for treasure chest) in his back yard and barn to see how children react. He uses the information to write his children’s book but can’t quite seem to piece it together. The town, meanwhile, start to get involved his fantasy world to escape their own problems. His nemesis, a bitter ex-classmate who lost his wife and who tries to shun his daughter from the outside world, burns the backyard structure to the ground, only to invite the townspeople to help rebuild it and make it safe for all children.

Let me know if you have any interest and I can have a lawyer contact you if necessary. I have a lot of confidence in this script and I am more than happy to rewrite it or tweak it.

Snowing Kingdom

Fantasy

When a struggling author dials a wrong number, the female voice on the other line helps him build a story, which we see play out. The story is about a man who meets a woman who has just come out of a portal into our world from her home, The Snowing Kingdom. He helps her get back only to find himself in the middle of a war.

It is a story within a story.
