I'm a screenwriter and script doctor with a couple of small productions under my belt and a few more in the works. I graduated from Drexel's Screenwriting/Playwriting program in 2014. Since, I've won and placed in several competitions (Urbanworld, Women in Horror, etc.) I currently have a Thriller feature under option. In January, I sold a short comedy script to Milepost 42 Films, which rolls into production in a couple weeks. I've also co-created a web series called [sign in to see URL]. which is in production with Sheryl Lee Ralph and Niecy Nash Executive Producing and guest starring. I have experience writing for TV and Film and I've love to establish a career writing/producing/directing for both.

Re: New Production Company Building Network

Hello,

I create surreal, carefully constructed stories that dissect love, morality, oppression, identity crises, alienation and stagnation by catapulting characters into absurd, almost comically juxtaposed worlds where they must use self-examination as a tool for escape and redemption.

With over a decade in the industry, I have built a career in both development and production where I have seen the process of a script go from paper to screen, enabling me to better scrutinize my work before it goes out into the world.

I have collaborated in the development of pilots and produced internet segments for MTV Networks and have written numerous features, shorts, and pilots, some of which have been optioned and / or placed in prestigious contests.

I would like to continue writing deep, meaning scripts and am open to all platforms and opportunities.

Here is a logline for my latest feature, "Swell", a psychological drama.

Logline: In a time of poodle skirts and sock hops, a dejected teenager struggles to escape her off-kilter family whose lives are filled with atomic bomb drills, oppressive rules and addiction.

I would be happy to send over a writing sample. You can contact me at writerbself@[sign in to see URL]

Thank you,

Brandi Self

Dear Production Company,

I’m a professional screenwriter-for-hire who’s written for 24 different production companies and I'd love to write for yours. “Walking With the Enemy” (based on a true story and starring Academy Award Winning Best Actor Ben Kingsley) is the latest of my feature film writing credits. Re: New Production Company Building Network

I am a professional freelance writer by trade with more than two decades in the craft. In addition, I have authored six feature-length scripts (one of which was purchased this past May) and written numerous short stories (20 of which have been published in various print and online literary journals). Naturally, I am looking to continue to sell my creative work and ultimately quit the proverbial day job.

Respectfully,

As the Trivia Guinness World Record holder, a syndicated newspaper columnist in 500+ papers, and with over a yard of traditionally published books, I'm the most-read writer from the Carolinas! I've partnered with an award-winning screenwriter regarding ...

Winner of 2 Screenplay Festivals! True Crime / Train Robber

Title: Bedlam on the Rails

Note: Represented by Hollywood Agent and NYC Literary Agent

Genre: True Crime - (America's Last Train Robbery 1949 Firsthand Account)

Log Line: “Two armed, down-on-their-luck young hoods, a speeding streamliner, and a bad idea result in railway pandemonium not seen since the days of Butch Cassidy.”

]Short Clip #2 Best Scene Screenplay Reading

Traditionally published book (ISBN: 978-1626198937) and award-winning screenwriter’s screenplay (ProtectRite R692-17782) in hand looking for TV, documentary, or movie production.

Bonus: Book's center contains over 50 illustrations as storyboard great starting point!

Note/background from book author and Trivia Guinness World Record holder...
America's last moving train robber was not Jesse James nor Butch Cassidy. Instead it was Lu Ramsdell and his gang! I met the head bandit himself spending the last three years of his life hearing his incredible inside story collaborated with over 50 newspaper articles and national headlines from 1949. (Lu died in 2012, we lived in the same town of Spartanburg, SC.)

I am returning to writing after a 20-year hiatus. During that time I was optioned once for a MOW, and had a number of scripts under consideration for various TV shows. I've been a finalist in writing competitions various times past and present. My current projects, along with my bio and scripts or excerpts can be viewed under the name Gene Gwynne at:
