Title: Sting
Pages: 103
Genre:Psychological Thriller

Logline: MORGAN SEAR (7) is stung by a bee and unaware she is allergic she falls into an anaphylactic shock that almost ends in tragedy. She then receives disturbing visions that involve the victims of a series of abductions which occurred before she was born.
Summary: Morgan is saved by her quick thinking mother JILL SEAR (28) who recalls that her late husband was allergic to bee stings and that he once stashed an emergency Epi-pen in her handbag.
Jill is horrified however when the seizures continue and red welts appear on specific areas of Morgan’s body. Seeking answers to her condition she enlists the advice of a young doctor who reassures her that the symptoms are all part of the process of an anaphylactic allergic reaction.
Jill also relies on her best friend EMMA (28) an artist and free spirit who has been part of her support system since the death of her husband. Emma is loyal and understanding and she shares a special bond with Jill’s daughter whom she has nicknamed, ‘Smudge’. Unfortunately Emma’s impulsive nature places Morgan in danger and her mother is once again required to come to her rescue.
Whilst driving Morgan home from hospital Jill stops when her daughter is overcome by a sudden bout of car sickness. Then after noticing an old chapel mother and daughter venture inside to explore. Jill and Morgan stumble across stunning artworks painted on the chapel walls and they encounter a caretaker who is restoring the works.
The caretaker explains that the renditions are copies of William Blake etchings that his mother painted in an attempt to overcome her depression after the death of her husband. He doesn’t mention that she neglected his upbringing while she painted or that he has kidnapped a single mother named MARY SHIELDS who he keeps imprisoned in the chapel’s basement.
When Jill tells Emma about the artworks she warns her friend that the caretaker caused her to feel uncomfortable and she recommends she avoid the chapel. But Emma is spontaneous and after she learns that Morgan left her teddy bear behind at the chapel she ignores the advice. Emma is also unaware that Morgan is influencing events in an attempt to expose the dark secret hidden in the chapel’s basement.
Morgan knows from her visions that Mary Shields is being held captive and that FAITH CONNOR (15) was murdered in the chapel during an escape attempt. Could she be manipulating Jill and Emma so she can retrieve the gold pendant Faith hid moments before she was murdered and to fulfil a promise that was made before she was born?
Sting is a female driven psychological thriller with a touch of the supernatural that showcases the strong support systems women develop when faced with difficult and dangerous circumstances. The story-line and structure are reminiscent of the successful movies, ‘The Sixth Sense’, and ‘Split’, written by M. Night Shyamalan.
Production Specifics: The screenplay is industry formatted, feature length and budget sensible. There are only seven actors required and a small number of easily accessible shooting locations needed for production.

Title: Sting

Log Line: After barely surviving an incident of anaphylactic shock, seven year old Morgan Sear’s childhood is shattered by disturbing visions of an abduction and murder. She is then compelled to lead the people she loves into a life and death situation so they can rescue a woman being held captive in a hellish prison.

Summary: Morgan is saved from almost certain tragedy by her mother Jill who is watching her return home after completing a chore on their farm. Morgan’s recently deceased father was allergic to bee stings and Jill recalls he once stashed an emergency Epi-pen in a kitchen draw. She is concerned however when the seizures continue and her daughter begins experiencing terrible nightmares. Jill worries Morgan’s night-terrors are a symptom of her losing her father and she grapples with her ability to raise a child on her own.
Jill relies on her best friend Emma an artist who has been part of her support system since the death of her husband. She is loyal and understanding, and although she’s a little indulgent, she shares a special bond with Morgan. Emma unwittingly finds herself in danger however when she visits an old chapel after Morgan manipulates circumstances in attempt to help the victims of her visions.
Whilst driving Morgan home from hospital Jill stops when her daughter is overcome by a sudden bout of car sickness. Then after noticing an old chapel, mother and daughter venture inside to explore. Jill and Morgan stumble across stunning artworks painted on the chapel walls and they encounter a caretaker who is restoring the works.
The caretaker explains that the renditions are copies of William Blake etchings that his mother painted in an attempt to overcome her depression. He also mentions that after the death of her husband she neglected his upbringing while she painted. Jill finds his demeanour and his revelations strange, but she could have no idea that he has kidnapped single mother Mary Shields or that he keeps her imprisoned in the chapel’s basement as a surrogate.
When Jill tells Emma about the artworks she warns her friend that the caretaker caused her to feel uncomfortable when he invited her down to the basement to view more paintings. Then despite her friend’s interest in art she also recommends that she avoid the chapel altogether. Emma ignores the advice however when Morgan uses a childish but effective excuse to present her with a justification to visit the chapel.
Morgan knows from her visions that Mary is being held captive and that a teenage girl was murdered in the chapel during an escape attempt. But she needs Jill and Emma’s help to rescue Mary and to fulfil a promise that was made before she was born. Morgan utilises the love and protectiveness of the two women to achieve her objectives, but her efforts lead them into an encounter with a murderer who is desperate to keep his dark secret hidden.
Despite the predicament Morgan creates for her mother and Emma, she is able liberate Mary by attracting the focus of emergency services to the old chapel. She also manages to bring closure to a murdered teenager’s family by returning a gold pendant given to her by her grandmother before she was abducted.

Hello, I am Lee, a writer from the UK. I've written mostly horror related stories but. No idea if they can be made within the budget you want though. However, I do have something you may like. It's a cross between a drama & a thriller. About a family who move to a new town, only to find that a serial killer, who once hunted there 20 years earlier may well be back. It's mostly set in and around the street where the family live. Anyway, check out my facebook author page to find out more about me -

Thanks,
