,Rien na va plus’ (No more bets, please!)
A thriller
About 130 pages

Query
Ben Sinclair is a mild-mannered guy, gentle and as fearful as any common man. But he has a very dangerous talent: he can throw the white roulette ball to show any number he wants. And to contravene the rules is dangerous. After this talent earns him a first time brush with death in the bowels of London’s gambling scene, as well the loss of his job there as a croupier, he flees Europe and heads to North America, going straight to the familiar land of Las Vegas in hopes of a happier and possibly safer life.
Upon arrival it seems that he’s escaped the violence of his past, and begins to test out another gift he holds - the ability to predict the destination of the white ball when another person throws it. But again, he soon garner’s the attention of murderous men who try to kill him. He barely survives but this time is completely changed inside. Every instinct to feel fear has been totally eradicated from him! From now on Ben will no more suffer any suppression or violation - from nobody.
With this new achievement Ben returns back to London to take sweet revenge on the people of the scene there, not knowing that the pretty young lady he fell in love with is the daughter of the boss of the syndicate that gave him that raw deal before. But she plays foul with him and when a friend dies the situation gets out of control.

Title: RABBITS ON THE AIRFIELD.
Action/Thriller.

Logline: Driverless cars are used to highjack planes at an International Airport, and every detail is broadcasted via live social media. Greed, technology, and rage fuel a race against hate to stop the carnage.

Synopsis:
TONY GARCIA is a Cuban American in his late forties and tech-savvy electrical engineer who is recently released from federal prison for stock trading fraud. JUAN NGUYEN, born in Vietnam and raised in Cuba from the age of 6, is a middle-aged Chemical Engineer and a friend of TONY’s. Together, the two friends hatch a plan to get rich quick and leave the world reeling. Supported by foreign capital, they setup a high tech command center inside a cargo warehouse near Miami International Airport to remotely control seven driverless cars. They setup under the alias of Rabbit Communications, and name the cars Rabbit 1 through 7.

The Rabbits are delivered to Link Airlines as regular cargo for export, but are instead used to highjack four planes ready to take off on the runway; two cargo planes and two passenger planes. The entire operation is transmitted to the world from the cameras installed on the cars, via live social media broadcasts. PAUL FRANCO, also in his forties, is an old friend of TONY’s from high school and is the Station Manager for Link Airlines, the very airline being targeted by the hijack. He, his wife, SAMANTHA, who is the daughter of the Link Airline CEO, and his teenage daughter, CINDY, are dragged into the operation completely unaware of what is happening. They are unaware of the key role they will play in the events to unfold.

The operation runs like clockwork, and its initial objective, of making a quick and large sum of cash, by doing stock short sales of the airlines and insurances companies involved is accomplished easily. But only TONY is satisfied, Juan has ulterior motives fueled by a deep seated hatred. Although never part of the original plan, the lives of the innocent people on the planes are now in grave danger. Greed, technology, and rage fuel the battle against hate to save the innocent lives of passengers in the planes.

Hello, I am Lee, a writer from the UK. I've written mostly horror related stories but do have something you may like. It's a cross between a drama & a thriller. About a family who move to a new town, only to find that a serial killer who once hunted there 20 years earlier may well be back. It's mostly set in and around the street where the family live. Anyway, check out my facebook author page to find out more about me -

Re: Director Seeks The Right Script.

TITLE: MISDEAL
LOGLINE: A framed and broke financial wiz finds redemption and love in the seedy world of New York's underground poker.

My name is John Iannucci and I’ve written a high-concept, character-driven drama titled “Misdeal” that I would like to send you.

Not since “Rounders” has a movie used poker as a catalyst to tell a story. In this case, “Misdeal” tells a very human story of success, failure and redemption spiced with a little revenge and two original unseen twists. These are all elements that connect with a wide audience.

“Misdeal” is set in the late 1980’s during the height of underground poker and prior to its legalization in Atlantic City. It centers on Joe Mascari, a financial wiz at the top of his game, being framed by his partner and losing everything. With nothing left and nowhere to turn, he enters the seedy, dark, world of New York’s underground poker. In this new realm, he finds his true love, Sue Clarke, and monetary success. Sue has her own problem with the children’s home she loves about to be closed by the banks. Joe’s success is shortlived as he falls prey to a scam by a myterious sinister figure, Edger Doyle. Hitting rock bottom, he must find a way to con Edger into a fair game and save the home, win Sue’s love, and find personal and financial redemption.

There are twenty million poker players in the United States and one hundred million in the world waiting for the next great “poker” movie. I believe the complex dynamic characters, high stakes and hidden twist will make this storyline grab a wider appeal then just that audience. The storyline revolves around a proven formula placed in an entirely new setting.
Please let me know if I can forward a complete synopsis/ pitch or the screenplay to you.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

John M. Iannucci
