Producer Seeks To Buy A psychological Thriller

Seeking to BUY mystery, suspense, psychological thriller, supernatural-with-some-humor feature scripts. Think Sixth Sense, Stranger Things or Shutter Island. Something captivating with a great twist!

NOT looking for horror, gory stuff, creature feature or cynical dark stuff.

Re: Producer Seeks To Buy A psychological Thriller

Title: "A Royal Nightmare"
Logline: A vulnerable screenwriter must fight for survival after being stalked and kidnapped by his ex-lover.
Genre: Psychological Thriller
Dear Sir Or Madam,
My name is Matthew H Emma and I have authored a psychological thriller titled: "A Royal Nightmare" that I would be honored if you took the time to read. One of my other scripts was recently purchased by another production company.
I would categorize "A Royal Nightmare" as a 2017 tribute to "Fatal Attraction." The story is about Marek, an Oscar-winning screenwriter feeling jilted and abandoned after breaking up with his long-standing girlfriend. Soon thereafter, Marek is coaxed into meeting Athena, a well-known Manhattan socialite, who also happens to be the Crown Princess of Albania. Little does Marek know Athena is also a mentally disturbed, obsessed fan with a history of stalking and abusing men. Their relationship progresses smoothly at first, but Marek is soon put off by Athena's arrogant and self-absorbed manner. Marek attempts to end the affair, but instead of accepting it and moving on, Athena slanders Marek in the press and brutally attacks one of the former couple's mutual friends.
Upon learning of Athena's sinister tendencies, Marek desperately tries to escape her clutches, but each attempt is met with greater resistance and increasingly dire consequences. In addition, many of Marek's close friends and associates become hapless sparring partners in Athena's psychological prize fights. Marek eventually changes his approach and, just when it seems like he makes a breakthrough, Athena doublecrosses him. Marek then finds himself in the ultimate struggle for survival.
I am confident the psychological roller coaster ride, as well as the high stakes in "A Royal Nightmare" will engage a wide array of moviegoers. It is also my firm belief that the character of Athena has the chance to go down as one of the most memorable "bad girls" in recent times.
Once again, I thank you for your time and consideration.

I have a grounded sci-fi with psychological thriller elements.

Title: You Might Like This

Logline: A winner who gets whatever he wants, a loser who doesn't and the CEO of a Virtual Reality technology company all deal with negative side affects of a powerful new VR Technology. Think Black Mirror meets Strange Days.

In the near future nothing is at it appears as various medical issues and conspiracies surrounds a hyper realistic VR platform. The company scrambles to respond to the negative press. While various users try to cope with harsh side affects and conspiracies surrounding it.

Title: "MERCY"
Logline: Four strangers are haunted by a vindictive, zealot entity that uses the game MERCY as a motif in punishing the transgressions of sinners.

It's Seven meets It Follows. Your favorite childhood game of pain re-imagined as your worst living nightmare.

My name is Michael Gentry and I have a supernatural psychological horror that I would like to have you read.

"Mercy" follows the lives of four strangers whose world is turned upside down when they find themselves the helpless victim of an entity on a crusade to punish the sins of those it regards as unrighteous by subjecting each of them to a life of torture by means of various levels of pain tolerance. With a desperate plea of "mercy" being the only method of escape from this demented game of torture, Kurt, Natalie, Sam, and Marcus will discover that it's much easier to believe in theory than done in reality. Fate has methodically separated them for a time, but "mercy" will strangely enough now, draw them closer together. Can the four of them find the strength to endure and escape this hellhole victoriously, or will they succumb to an awaited judgment and damnation?

I'm confident that the suspense demonstrated within the script, as well as the well-crafted plot twist will be able to appeal to a very large and diverse audience. Thank you for your time and let me know if you would like to have the script sent to you.

Best Regards,

Michael Gentry

Here is a project featuring limited cast, locales but adaptable.

Title: BrotherBrother (registered with WGAEast)

BrotherBrother – Synopsis

Genre: horror/paranormal thriller

Screenplay by Kathleen Gerritson

Sibling rivalry runs amok in this collision course extraordinaire when Corinne an ambitious female and her quirky brother Andrew with pet monkey in tow battle over inheritance of the family estate and entitlements. Contestable holdings including lucrative lithium mines, come into play at the family compound known as Phillips Manor.

When the contents and more importantly the conditions of the will of their departed mother are revealed, all hell breaks loose. A harsh and conniving Corinne is determined to stop at nothing for exclusive rights but more determined perhaps to cover up an ugly truth from the family’s past. She goes so far as to corrupt an associate from the firm representing the family estate while continuing to harass and demean her hapless brother. Andrew, on the other hand methodically maps out his counter attack with a little help from his friends - estate staff and a squirrel monkey. Andrew is a technophile with a score to settle. All is revealed in due course.

Gothic Phillips Manor is the perfect backdrop when the showdown comes in the form of an elaborate costume ball and the instrument of revenge is a gypsy fortune telling booth crafted by
BrotherBrother.

Re: Producer Seeks To Buy A psychological Thriller

Among my eleven completed scripts, I have a pair of feature-length scripts that might interest you:

“Oblivion”
A skilled computer temp joins a secret grand jury whose mission is to decide whether or not to release seventy-five years of cover-up evidence on UFOs and their alien occupants. Claustrophobic tension meets science-fiction reality in this combination of John Grisham courtroom intrigue and "The X-Files" material. “Oblivion" won high praise in the very first Project Greenlight competition (coverage available).

“Paige Turner: Love with a Twist”
A popular romance novelist despairs of ever finding her true love, until she accidentally bumps into him at a book signing. Suave, handsome and daring, she doesn't realize at first that he's the spitting image of Derek Bravard, the hero of her novels! Is she being set-up by a cunningly devious stalker, or is she simply losing her mind?

Concise one-page synopses are available for both scripts

In my collection of scripts, I have several that may align with your production specs. Rather than post my thoughts on what may fit, if you would be so good as to check out the loglines on my website: [sign in to see URL], any script that piques your curiosity is a click in cyberspace away. Thanks for taking a look.

Hello,

I have two low budget phychological thriller screenplays that have twist in the end and would therefore appeal to you.

Dead Husband:

Genre: psychological thriller

Sub-genres: Horror, suspense and mystery

Logline: A novelist sees the ghost of her husband and is convinced that he is back to take revenge on his murderer but soon she learns the reason behind his presence around her and also learns something unsettling about herself that shakes her to the core.

The Demon Inside:

Genre: Psychological Thriller

Sub-genre: drama and mystery

Logline: An evil woman terrorizes her step daughters to get away from her miserable old memories, but the arrival of the new neighbours, the local police and the social worker at her house threatens her to the core.

If you are interested to know more about either of these two screenplays please let me know I will send you the synopsis or and I will get you a copy of any of the full-length screenplays immediately.

Kind regards,

Re: Producer Seeks To Buy A psychological Thriller

Hello, my name is Kevin Ronca and I'm fairly new to this website. My debut project was a documentary (though I'm traditionally a narrative/ fiction writer), but it was narrated by none other than Viggo Mortensen.

Ever felt that you don't have a place to call home? I sure did. I grew up having to raise myself and my younger brother and eventually fell into homelessness and addiction. This screenplay speaks to anyone that ever felt like an outsider or a drifter.

ONE FOR THE ROAD is a crime/ thriller/ road movie:

Jack and Bethany, two eccentric love birds on a permanent vacation/ crime spree, must survive the brutal winter conditions of the Northeast, as well as the dangerous climate of contemporary America in this fresh picaresque tale. Think Bonnie & Clyde meets Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.

Thanks for your time and warmest regards,

Kevin Ronca
