For your consideration:

Screenplay – Drama/Comedy
Title: Muddy Munday “Forward from a troubled past.”

Best Feature Film Script, 2017 European Independent Film Award

Inspired by a true story, set in current day Ireland.

Logline: “A Jamaican born, British football legend and his stubborn Irish sidekick, battle their own turbulent pasts, as they cautiously enter a mixed group of Protestant and Catholic orphans into the Northern Ireland Games.”

Synopsis: Our protagonists are business partners from disparate backgrounds. Retired European football star Marvin “Luther” Garvey and his cantankerous, Irish-Catholic friend, Padraic O’Kane, live comfortably while the struggles of the past shape and haunt their everyday existence. A wealthy Luther fights past and present day racism on the football pitch by lecturing throughout Europe. Paddy remains indignant about the treatment of Catholics in Ireland, especially the Bloody Sunday which ended the life of his young brother some forty-four years earlier.

Through a series of reality lessons, they both begin a healing process on different paths. Paddy’s initial transformation begins for all the wrong reasons. Eventually, he begins to accept those non-catholic citizens outside the comfort and security of his "RealSport” Pub, "St. Aidens" church and the "Gingernut” Barbershop. Luther’s epiphany comes about as the result of a chance meeting with an orphan boy named Manus Marley and his band of parentless footballers who hail from both sides of the sectarian tracks. Luther attempts to enter the young adults into the Northern Ireland Games known locally as “THE NIG.” Many people in both communities quietly condemn the multifarious squad, but a few protest violently.

Football teams from around the globe, such as “Pint Size Paris”, “Sisilly Boys” and the “Alabama Freedom Riders” from the U.S., are registered for the storied competition. An uncooperative committee finally allows Luther and the orphans to test their skills in the tournament. The “Kid United” team from England and the mixed green, ragamuffin “ProCats” face-off in the final match. In the end, the post-game actions of a few key players and “a wee bit a mud”, serve to unify everyone involved, especially on the issues of gender, class, race, religion and social indifference.

Final thought; “Selma meets Ned Divine wrapped in an Oliver Twist”

For consideration:

Screenplay - Science Fiction
Title: Boy Shielder

First wrote in screen play form, now a book Also You Tube trailer

Web page - Boy Shielder by Vern H Grimshaw

Some really cool new science fiction inventions

Synopsis: "Boy Shielder is an action-packed science fiction story about the Bwanites: an intelligent and highly civilized race of people living on a distant planet called Terro who were driven off their planet after a fierce battle by a rival group called the Mallites. They discovered Earth, and after studying Earth's civilized nations, they decided to look elsewhere.
A twist in the plot occurred when Freddy, the adventurous son of Clenti, the Bwanite leader, took his two younger brothers, Tony and Sammy, on a shuttle trip to Earth. They intended to land in the United States of America. However, with Freddy's inexperience, combined with some malfunctions on the shuttle, they crash-landed in Russia.
This begins a series of adventures as they try to get to the United States of America.

Thought; This is a good clean story, good plot and good family entertainment.

Thank you so much for your time,

To Whom it may concern.

I have recently completed a full length feature screenplay in which Blumhouse Productions has indicated a willingness to read. However, as you may know, they do not accept unsolicited manuscripts.

I hope your agency might consider representing me.

To that end, I have included a short pitch, below, for your review.

From the BlackList Cover: "Much of the script's best material revolves around Sharp, whose status as a cancer-stricken war hero gains him instant sympathy from the audience even as he operates as one of the primary antagonists in the story. The shades of grey in his character really come through, to the point that his death on pg. 79 is almost bittersweet (and incidentally, it's also delightfully gruesome - this is a moment audiences probably won't have seen before, which is a huge asset in any sci-fi thriller). ...This is definitely a concept that could be commercially viable; "child with powers on the run from shady authorities" is a tried-and-true hook that has anchored everything from Stephen King's FIRESTARTER to the first season of STRANGER THINGS."

Title: Theo

Tag: Change Is Good

Introduction: What might happen if our species began to evolve? Again. How might we treat the successors to our planet? Does Man fight harder to destroy or to survive?

Format: Feature Film

Genre: Sci-Fi, Science Fact

Nutshell: Think Mercury Rising, Midnight Special, and Unbreakable. This film might make you think. But it does so with action, humor, and heart.

Log Line: A genetically evolved teenager must outwit a malevolent scientist bent on harvesting his advanced DNA.

Timeline: 15 years ago. Present day or near future.

Cast: Thirteen speaking parts (4 principle), five stunt extras, six drivers.

Locations: 10 Locations: The Mid-West (National Forest, Urban America,
Inner-City).

Setting: Medical Clinic, Primus Genetics, Mountain Cottage, Highway Cafe, Divided Highway, Rural Homestead, Interstate Motor Coach, Urban Residential House, Rural Residential House.

Costumes: Black-Ops uniforms, Fatigues, State Trooper Uniforms, Doctor’s Lab Coats

Props: One AH-6 Attack Gunship, Military hardware

FX: Choreographed stunts, CG

Thank you most kindly for your time and consideration.

Cordially,
David Welsh

I would like to submit Raphael The Redemption which won best screenplay for fantasy/adventure at the NY International Independent Film and Video Festival. Reg with WGA.

Synopsis

Raphael, Beloved of God and Kneeler at The Throne of Heaven, is summoned in 1550 Provance France at the behest of Nostradamus, prophet and seer. Raphael is on his way to carry out his revenge --Armageddon. He wants to destroy Adam's Can.

In a previous life, Meghan, was Sylvina, Raphael's wife. Raphael was summoned in 155 Provance by Nostradamus to heal his daughter Sylvina. Raphael fell in love with her.

One night, the Arc Angel Michael appears to bring Raphael back to Heaven and to kneel at God's throne. Raphael and Michael argue. Sylvina overhears the argument and, 9 months pregnant, falls down the stairs to her death.

Raphael vows that he will take from God what he loves more than anything, he will have revenge on Adam's Clan. Michael takes Raphael forcefully back to Heaven.

Raphael's plan is to find the secret germ warfare facility in Iraq. With the help of a Satanist, who'd interrupted Meghan's book tour lecture, and who has been recruited to fly the helicopter, he does.

I have a 108 page feature film script, THE VENUS SYNDROME.

Logline: A Special Ops soldier must travel back in time to the 21st century and kill the president to save his climate-ravaged world from dying out.

"The Venus Syndrome" is a science fiction thriller written along the lines of films like “Mad Max: Fury Road” and "12 Monkeys."

Starting in a climate-ravaged future, the story is about a desperate Special Ops soldier, Rick, who struggles to feed and protect his family. When his son dies, the grieving Rick agrees to go on a mission to travel back in time to the 21st century to assassinate the President so a much better Vice President can take over, possibly saving the dying world and bringing his son back to life. Rick assumes the identity of a man starting work as a White House aide, but complications ensue when Rick forms a relationship with Helen, a climate change pacifist. To make matters worse, authorities are in process of uncovering Rick’s disguise. Now, with the fate of the future hanging in the balance, Rick must hatch a desperate plan to outwit authorities and kill the President or perish knowing that the world is doomed.

I feel the fantastical premise, believable characters, and mounting suspense in "The Venus Syndrome" will appeal to a very wide audience. Please let me know if I can send you the script, and thanks for your time and consideration.
